Welcome back to our Friday Focus from the Family Hub at Formby Avenue. We wish all of our partners a lovely Easter with your family and friends and hopefully a bit of sunshine. Thank you for your continued support in strengthening outcomes for children and families.

👶 Early Years: Fun Hub Stay & Play (0-5), Baby Massage (0-6m), Mini Explorers (6-18m), Baby Babble (0-9m), Rainbow Sensory (0-7m), Bouncy Beats (18months+), Active Adventurers (18months+), Tiny Tales (0-12m).
Youth Offer: Boys and Girls group will be taking a break over the Easter Holidays but we hope to see you all week commencing 20th April 😊
🩺 Health & Development: Baby Weigh clinic at Tyldesley and Atherton every Tuesday and Thursday ring 0300 7071245 to book appointment. Infant Feeding Support on Tuesdays at Atherton.
👨👩👦 Parenting & Family Support: MYSENSABILITY parent connect drop-in at Tyldesley on Tuesday 31st March 10am-12pm. Come for support, advice and a community around SEND.
🤸♀️ Community Activities: We have our EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA at Family Hub at Formby Avenue on Wednesday 8th April 10am-12pm. Bring all the family for an Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts and family games. Take a look at our Easter timetable which is on Facebook NOW!
🔔 Key Updates for Partners
📢 Session Spotlight: New for Easter and beyond – family Lego at the Family Hub at Formby Avenue. Take a look at our timetable to see dates and times. Create, challenge and build with your little ones.
👥 Staffing Updates: Emily Crossland, our new Early Years Worker has started. She’s settling in and is fast underway with her induction, getting ready to deliver more amazing sessions across our reach.
🤝 Multi-Agency Collaboration: Neil Ormesher from Work Well is on site Tuesdays 9am-12pm at the Family Hub at Formby Avenue to support with all things work, careers and training.
Brick Updates: Our Brick distribution pod is managed by Kirsty, one of our many fabulous volunteers. We have lots of new stock in this week including toilet rolls, feminine hygiene products, sanitary products and Neutrogena hand creams. For World Autism Awareness day, have a look at what we have on offer this week:
💛 Good News & Celebrations
🌈 A mum who attended the Introducing Solid Foods course at Mosley Common last Thursday rang up to give us the following feedback –
I want to say a huge thank you to you both, I was so impressed with the course. Mia is my 3rd baby but was premature and I was starting to get a bit worried when she wasn’t showing signs of interest in solids at the 6 months mark. Mia is now 8 months so I was a bit concerned. I thought that the course was organised, the advice was evidence-based and that since the course, I have implemented the advice and Mia has made improvements and her sleep has also improved as a result. I am thrilled and didn’t realise how much anxiety I was holding as I feel that an emotional weight has been lifted and I am just so grateful for the course.
